Interviewing with General Dynamics
We look forward to meeting you! With that said, we know job interviews can be overwhelming. The good news? We want your interview to go just as well as you do. To help prepare you, we’ve provided some resources and simple tips below.
Generally speaking, a formal interview with us will include:
- Introductions and welcome
- Brief overview of our business and the position
- Review of your experience and career history
- Mixture of technical and behavioural questions
- Opportunities to ask any questions
Review The Job Description
Take another look at the job description that you applied for. This will remind you of the key responsibilities and help you navigate each interview question in advance.
Focus On Essential Criteria
Prepare 1-3 examples of real-life scenarios using the S.T.A.R. (Situation, Task, Action, Result) method. Don’t have experience in a certain area? Don’t be afraid to state that, we will consider your flexibility and interest to be important.
Come With Your Own Questions
Feel free to ask clarifying questions if you are uncertain of what the job description lists. Additionally, we will ensure time at the end of the interview for you to ask questions.
